The short version
MainStreet Checkout is a cash register that runs on a tablet, phone, or computer. You ring up a sale, the customer taps or swipes a card, and the money goes to your bank account.
What makes it different
Most registers take 3% or so out of every card sale. Here, the card fee is added to the customer's total instead of coming out of your pocket on credit cards. You keep your full ticket price.
What it costs you
- 1% of the sale goes to us as the platform fee. It comes out of the sale, it is never added on top of the customer's total.
- Debit cards are different. By federal law, debit can never be surcharged. On debit sales you pay the normal processing cost like any other shop.
