Where MainStreet works: all 50 states

There is no state where you can't use MainStreet. What changes is how the card cost is presented. Where a separate surcharge line is banned, we switch you to dual pricing or a cash discount — legal everywhere — automatically.

True in every state

  • Debit and prepaid cards can never be surcharged, even where credit surcharging is legal.
  • A surcharge can never be more than what you actually pay to accept the card.
  • The card price must be disclosed at your entrance, at the register, and before the customer taps.
  • The card fee prints as its own line on every receipt.
  • Tips are never surcharged.
