Getting started

Connecting your bank, screen by screen

Exactly what each bank-verification screen asks and what to type, in order.

Before you start

Sit down with these on the table. It takes about five minutes.

  • Your legal name and date of birth
  • Last four digits of your Social Security number
  • Your shop's address and phone number
  • Your routing and account numbers (they're on the bottom of a check)
  • Your cell phone

Screen by screen

  1. Get paid → Start payout setup. A window opens inside our site. You never leave.
  2. Phone number. Type your cell number. They text you a 6-digit code. Type the code in.
  3. "Set up two-step authentication." Do not download an app. Look for the small link at the bottom that says "Use your phone or a security key instead", tap it, then choose Text message. You'll get another code.
  4. About you. Legal name, date of birth, home address, last four of your Social. This is the bank confirming you're a real person; it is not a credit check.
  5. About the shop. Business name, address, phone, and what you sell. If it asks for a website and you don't have one, put your Facebook page, or your shop name plus your town.
  6. Where the money goes. Routing number, then account number, twice.
  7. Review and submit.

After you submit

The screen closes and your Get paid page shows "Payouts ready" within a minute or two. If it still says not started, tap Refresh status once.

If anything stalls

Close the window and tap Ask for a call. We can open your account with you and finish it together.

Would it be easier on the phone?

Ask for a free setup call. Pick a day and time, and we'll ring you and go through it together, one step at a time.
