The scanner won't read a barcode

For a handheld scanner

1. Tap the search box first — it needs the cursor there.
2. Scan something you know works, like a soda can, to test the scanner itself.
3. Unplug and replug the USB, or re-pair Bluetooth.

For camera scanning

1. Better light.
2. Hold steady, about 6 inches back.
3. Make sure the camera permission is allowed for this site.

For labels you printed

1. Reprint at 100% scale with no page scaling.
2. Don't shrink labels to fit more per page.
3. Low toner makes bars too thin to read.

Last resort

Type the barcode digits into the search box by hand. It finds the product the same way.
